Op(v)en Day for All in Erschmatt: Fun for Young and Old

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Erschmatt Botanic Reserve (Sortengarten Erschmatt) in 2025, several activities are being organized from May to November 2025. The highlight of this year's festivities will be the "Oven Day for All" at the local Burgerhaus (community house) and in the village on the Saturday after Ascension Day, 31 May 2025. We'll take you inside the old village mill and fire up three wood-fuelled ovens to make fresh rye bread and pizza. The day’s program includes guided tours of the Sortengarten and the village, as well as a puzzle trail and games for young and old. A canteen and refreshments will be available throughout the day at the Burgerhaus, where accordion music will help make the day go by pleasurably. Those who love fresh bread and loaves from the wood-fired oven can purchase them on site. So long they last!
